Pointed Arches

Pointed Arches is an expansive investigation of The Gothic and how it pervades cultural forms outside of those traditionally understood to be gothic. This is not a show about gothic music or media per se, but rather about The Gothic as a crying out of things, a reaching outwards, an attempt to cross an uncrossable void, an understanding taken from the architectural form of the pointed arch - a technique that allowed builders of cathedrals to build taller structures that would draw worshippers upwards, out of themselves, towards a collective firmament.
