The Red Room
This week, we discussed what it means to be a luddite in modern society, how one would properly define a recession, and our hypochondria inspiring delusions of gout. We also meditated on the news that drinking coffee and owning a beard are good for you, eating processed meat is bad for you, and whether or not there is still such a thing as a "family computer."
We discussed our love of histrionic internet reviews, our hatred of idiotic internet slang, and the Bible's "deleted scenes" involving Jesus fighting dragons. We also debated on whether or not the Amish drank coffee, on whether it is Dreamworks or Pixar who are leading the way in CGI-animated feature films, and on whether or not a certain vulgar four-letter noun belongs in the collective vernacular of today's world.
We also reviewed films by Russ Meyer (The Immoral Mr. Teas, Up!), Tod Browning (Freaks), and Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained), as well as Camera Obscura's recent show at the CCA.18:00 - 20:00
