After a few technical problems last time, I shall try another time! So tune in this Sunday to listen to some good music!
Hello everybody! I am glad to inform that I am all ready and settled for tomorrow's show! This time no technical mishap will be able to stop me and I am confident everything will go as planned!
I changed the schedule a bit, swapping around relevant composers, so I am happy to announce that tomorrow's composers will be:
Samuel Coleridge Taylor (England, 1875 – 1912), an English composer of mixed race, amazing talent, a shy demeanour, and huge success during his lifetime.
Florence Price (1887 - 1953), an Afro-American composer, and the first Afro-American woman to be recognised as a symphonic composer, and the first to have her compositions played by a major orchestra. She was also a woman of amazing talent and dedication. Most of her work has been recently re-discovered in 2009 in an abandoned house in Illinois, so hopefully we shall hear more and more of hers.
The opening piece will be Grieg's Wedding at Troldhaugen as played by Alice Sara Ott.
I hope you shall tune in and shall enjoy the music! I shall try my best!12:00 - 14:00
