<<< VIC BAR >>>
Gareth Roberts - http://subcity.org/shows/unearthlymatters The ears behind Subcity's Unearthly Matters, Gareth has an endless thrust for diverse sounds and musical cultures. A regular party lynch-pin at Nice N Sleazy, Poetry Club and The Art School, Gareth knows how to push the dance floor boundaries. Combining cosmic frequencies with cold war electronica to create interstellar journeys in sound.
Mr ChOOn! - http://subcity.org/shows/choon A mystery, an enigma! The man behind one of the most exhaustively researched programmes covering multi-national, trans-continental sounds and oddities you will find not just on Subcity, but pretty much anywhere. His DJ gigs are as rare as the sound he presents so we're beyond excited for this one.
Floyd - http://subcity.org/shows/bangersandmashup/ A superb selector, audio wizard and generally top person. Previously host of her own Bangers & Mashup show on the station, as well as producing the widely loved Broomhill Mix. She'll be digging deep in the crates to present an ode to Broomhill amongst other things!
DJ Hush - http://subcity.org/shows/musicplease DJ Hush is a legend of The Art School. The man behind the heaving Thursday night Vic Bar stalwart, Record Playerz aka RPZ; resident of both the much lauded Divine! and the bustling Death Disco. Few know how to make Glasgow boogie like he does, he's gonna have the Vic Bar in a tizzy.
GK Machine - http://subcity.org/shows/gkmachine DJ, promoter, producer and diehard synth stalwart Gordon Mackinnon has been a mainstay on the Glasgow scene for over two decades. Performing genre-hopping leftfield sets with a cosmic bent, he counts acid house, dark wave and gamelan among the many genres represent by his enviable 5000-piece record collection, the contents of which he’s been flaunting periodically via his Subcity joint the Synthetic Soul Show since late 2012. GK’s plenty experienced at whipping up a fuss and sheer probability dictates he’s got something in those stacks of wax that you’re into.00:00 - 05:00
