Journeys

Hey folks,
This week's show is a cornucopia of Brazilian delights. I'll be playing songs from several eras; from Bossa Nova to Musica Popular Brasileira to Tropicalia to 'Black Rio'. Artists likely to feature include Joao Gilberto, Caetano Veloso, Edu Lobo, Gilberto Gil, Jorge Ben, Os Mutantes, Banda Uniao Black and more.
The Weird But Wonderful vote this week features two gender-specifically altered versions of the song that broke Bossa Nova to the rest of the world:

To decide which one plays the show out, get in touch during the live broadcast: [email protected] or text 'subcity' then your message to 07766 40 41 42.
The Spotlight will be on the man who has been referred to as 'The Brazilian James Brown'; Gerson King. I'll be playing a few tracks by him. :)
If you are on Facebook you can now join the 'Journeys Radio Show' group! I'm just getting to grips with the whole Facebook thing, but it'll be another place to let me know what you think, make suggestions/recommendations and to link to information about and streams of the shows.
