"Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever." - Wendy Dio

Nothing but heavy metal this time in memory of RJD. Dio was one of the heavy metal artists that really shaped my taste in music as a kid (alongside Maiden and Priest) and I still spin the 'Holy Diver' LP regularly. Also, for all the bullshit about him not being the best Sabbath vocalist, 'Heaven & Hell' is an absolute classic and places in my top 5 Sabbath records. Impossible to knock. When we start doing the journey through metal section again, DIO will definitely be making an appearance. I don't know what else to say. R.I.P. Dio. Sad day.

"It's a long way to nowhere
And I'm leaving very soon
On the way we pass so close
To the back side of the moon
Hey join the traveler if you got nowhere to go
Hang your head and take my hand
It's the only road I know "

P.S. - All you posey, side-fringe-sporting poser scumbags wouldn't even be throwing those devil horns at the crumby nu-metal 'rock' clubs you hang out at if it wasn't for DIO. Show some respect.
