An hour of looking back to what the past thought of the future in the form of radio theatre. Then we all laugh. Add in crappy home synthesizer music, acting that would make a theatre student weep in disgust, cutting edge electro (circa 1970) and charity shop beats and you have Subcity Sci-Fi. Some home made shows, some home made noises, sci-fi classics, robots, death-rays, dystopian Earths, utopian universes filled with wonder, space aliens, mad scientists, Gernsback's optimism, Tesla's insanity, the many unfulfilled dreams of the past. Jetpacks by 1991 you say? Sorry, all we have is MC Hammer in his parachute pants. Disappointing, but at least robots haven't taken over the world yet.
