Hey folks,

This week's show is finally the actual final show of the season!

Having already done a premature finale show (http://www.subcity.org/shows/journeys/6bce1), I will, undaunted, once again be completely abandoning the themed format, and will be treating you to two-hours of whatever I feel like playing.

No Spotlight this week, just even more tunes.

There is a Weird But Wonderful vote though. It's between a couple of my favourite 'early 21st Century indie dance rock' bands, both of whom I saw live at the Glasgow Barrowlands and fell in love with:

1. The Music - Take The Long Road And Walk It

The eponymous first album from this Leeds outfit (released 2002) was blisteringly good. They've failed to live up to it in my view, but continue to do sterling work never the less.

2. The Beta Band - Squares

Formed in St Andrews in the late 90s, this is a band that should have been massive, but who only ever bubbled under. They split in 2004, but parts live on in various guises, such as The Aliens and Black Affair.
