Get In The Van // 2000-2100 20.10.08

a therapeutic trip in the van

As I turned the keys in the ignition tonight, by my own standards at least, I was a veritable ball of fury and loathing but playing Shellac's magnificent "Canaveral" and "Song Against Itself" was a cathartic experience, and by the end of the journey I had reverted to my usual state of zen-like serenity.

one of those days...

I'm sure you will all be most upset to hear that your faithful van driver has been having an awful day, so I have decided to treat this evening's trip as a form of personal therapy. I intend that it will be an emotional journey, from the fury of Steve Albini's Shellac, to the soothing introspection of Kurt Wagner's Lambchop.

I'm looking forward to it, and would appreciate your company

speak to you soon,

Colin
