Futuristic sounds, complex beats, addictive bass - Armed Response is Subcity radio's only 100% dedicated drum n' bass show, and has been since we started in 2005. Join us as we enter our fourth year of broadcasting boundary-pushing beats and basslines - sci-fi technical, soulful and mellow, party vibes - all with a double shot of the high-paced future funk only drum n' bass can provide.
Be sure to check out the "show news" section for what's coming up on our show - exclusive guest mixes, first airings of new tunes, and much more.

special guests paul reset, morphy, velocet - livev
Armed Response DNB // 14.11.08 // special guests PAUL RESET, MORPHY, VELOCET - Livev
We are honoured to present exclusive guest mixes from three icons of Scottish drum n' bass - PAUL RESET, MORPHY & VELOCET. These three were part of the now-legendary Livevevil crew, for us the best night that ever ran in Glasgow, and arguably the best ever in Scotland.
Renowned for its forward-thinking choice of bookings and elite team of resident DJs, Livevevil ran for six years at the Glasgow School of Art before being put to rest in December 2005. Legendary Livevevil alumni, mostly on the techier tip, included Kemal, Tech Itch, Future Engineers, Teebee, D-Bridge, Matrix, Loxy & Ink, Doc Scott, Skynet and Pendulum (when they used to make good music before completely selling out and becoming shit).
PAUL RESET is A&R man and co-owner of Glasgow-based Nerve Recordings, resident at Scotland's biggest drum n' bass event Xplicit, prolific lager consumer, and drum n' bass & house DJ par excellence. Check his recent mix on BBC Radio 1 - here
MORPHY is one of Scotland's top producers, and at the top of his game when it comes to dubbed-out and dark drum n' bass. He has recently been working closely with other nu-skool leaders Nine Tails Fox and Kiat, as was recently signed to Function Recordings. Morphy has been working closely with label owner and scene legend Digital, with a string of tasty collabs in the pipeline. check his myspace
VELOCET was known as one of the slickest DJs to control the decks at Livevevil, and more recently has been making a name for himself as a producer to watch, with recently released collaborations on Nerve Recordings. Check his set on tonight's show for old-school techstep goodness.
Looking tiny and insignificant next to this colossal lineup are Armed Response residents YELLOWBENZENE & DJAMBA.
