Errors by Matthew Sillars

listen

The first edition of Subcity’s archive comes from 2004; though the session predates all the recorded output so-far released by Errors, its still distinguishable as the work of a band that can pack their simmering synths, taut guitar and glitch-beats into something soaring out of both rock and electronica. Recorded whilst still a three-piece, recorded before the How Clean is Your Acid House? EP, before the band were earmarked by Huw Stephens, Vic Galloway, Zane Lowe et al, before they got picked up by Mogwai’s Rock Action label, before they toured with Orbital…before…you get the picture; it was 2004, and Errors recorded a session with Subcity.

In almost everything written about the band, a prefix is used, even their label dub them “post-electro”; so, post-all the things mentioned above, Errors have built their own studio, The Freezer, where they have recorded their second album Come Down With Me, its due for release next year. Their first live date of 2010 is at Glasgow’s Grand Ole Opry, and you can get served by one of the band at Nice and Sleazy or Mono.
