Hey folks,

This week's extra special anniversary show sees us landing up in Africa once again. There'll be the usual selection of choice funk and a few poppier numbers too.

The Weird But Wonderful vote is between a couple of contenders from previous Africa-based shows:

1. Ginger Baker & Tony Allen - Drum Solo
Two of the best drummers in the world (Ginger Baker of Cream (obv.) and Tony Allen of Fela Kuti's Africa 70 band) take an extended and very funky live solo. (Ginger goes for it with Cream, 1968: YouTube link)

2. Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra - Big Man
New York based, multi-national African funk, with a political bent. (More Antibalas: MySpace Link)
